20th Arts & Crafts Fair 2018

The 20th Arts & Crafts Fair sponsored by Japan Club of Guam was held at the Hotel Nikko Guam on March 4, 2018.
We had some volunteers from Japan who performed a Paper Cutting Act, “Erhu” and “Taisho-Koto” instrument players. Aikido, Japanese dance and calligraphy were also demonstrated. Origami-art, Chigirie, handmade accessories, and patchwork were displayed.
The Consulate-General of Japan conducted the traditional sa-do demonstration with Japanese tea masters wearing Kimono. Many visitors experienced Japanese sweets and “Maccha” tea.
“Macha” tea and sweets were served all day during the Fair, and there were more visitors as compared to previous years who enjoyed Japanese traditional sa-do.
