Farewell Message from Consul-General
Hafa Adai my fellow Guamanians,
As you all know that all good things must come to an end, and today I wish to note that the end of my tenure as Consul-General of Japan in Guam has sadly arrived. I have indeed gained many lasting memories during the year and a half spent living in this paradise island of Guam. Prior to departing, I would like to extend my deepest heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the extremely warm Hafa Adai spirit and hospitality extended to me with every passing moment I was able to share.
Serving in Guam has been both an honor and a privilege. Through various events which took place during my mission on Guam, I was able to witness firsthand the remarkable CHamoro spirit of Inafa’maolek, within the community and most importantly the resiliency of the island people in the face of challenges such as Typhoon Mawar, and its dedication to strengthening the ties between Japan and Guam.
I am deeply appreciative of the countless support and cooperation accorded me by so many individuals and organizations. Together, we have celebrated the rich cultural exchanges and collaborative efforts that bind our two Islands. From the shared moments of festivals, events, and memorials to the everyday exchanges that foster mutual understanding, these memories will remain with me throughout my lifetime.
Although I am departing, I am confident that the bonds between Japan and Guam will continue to flourish, and I trust that future initiatives will build upon the strong foundation we have laid together.
Thank you once again for your warm support during my time here. I wish you all continued prosperity and success.
Dankulu na Si Yu’os Ma’ase!
