The Emperor's Birthday Reception 2017

The Consulate-General of Japan in Hagatna hosted a reception on the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty Emperor of Japan at the Hotel Nikko Guam on November 30, 2018. His Majesty will celebrate his 84th Birthday on December 23 this year. Approximately 200 guests attended the reception.
In his remarks, Consul-General Urabayashi stated that with over 700,000 Japanese visitors visiting Guam annually, the long-standing Japan-Guam relationship remains to be strong. Consul-General Urabayashi also stated that the world needs the Chamorro spirit of tolerance and power of reconciliation now – and especially now to attain world peace.
Consul-General Urabayashi closed his remarks stating that he looks forward to deepening even further the existing friendly relationship between Japan and Guam.
