4th Kendama Event in Guam

The Guam Nikkei Association (GNA) sponsored the Fourth Kendama Competition in cooperation with the Consulate-General of Japan in Hagatna at Guam Premier Outlets on July 1st.
Mr. Hiroyuki Yano, Vice-president of the Japan Kendama Association (JKA) and Mr. Taku Hatanaka, Champion of the 2015 World Open free style category came from Japan to certify kendama level (kyu) for the participants and perform their wonderful skills.
As a new rule for this year, the top 2 level (kyu) certified participants were selected as winners. Mr. Billy Navarrete and Mr. Shinnosuke Kuranami were selected and presented with an invitation to the 16th World Open Kendama Fest 2017 in Tokyo on July 15th by JKA and also a round-trip airline ticket between Guam and Japan from Japan Airlines.
