Invitation Program for Japanese-American Student
High school student Rioin Oshiro(age17) from Guam participated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 10-day U.S. - Japan youth invitation program for Japanese-American Student, and returned to the island recently.
Rioin arrived in Japan on June 30 and joined four other participants from the U.S. mainland. They visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, conducted exchanges with the Yokosuka Sogo High School in Yokosuka city. On July 3rd and 4th, they visited Kyoto and experienced the tea ceremony and Yuzen silk printing process. They returned to Tokyo on the 5th , then participated in a home stay and visited the Imperial Palace, the districts of Akihabara and Harajuku, the Edo-Tokyo Museum, etc., before leaving Japan on July 9th.
