The Foreign Minister’s Commendation (December 2015)

  On December 19th 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the award of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations in Honor of the 70th Anniversary of the End of the War to Ms. Mutsuko Minegishi, founder of the Guam Aikikai, Chief Instructor of Aikido and Mrs. Yaeko Smith Yamamoto known as Wakayagi Mizuha in recognition of their distinguished services in promoting mutual understanding between Japan and United states of America, contributing to promoting friendly relations between Japan and other nations.
  On January 21st and 28th 2016, Mrs.Smith and Ms. Minegishi were presented the certificate of commendation and commemorative gift at our office (pictures).
  We are honored to announce this award and are proud of them as the Japanese residents on Guam, this is also encouraging for our activities.
