JAPANESE GOVERNMENT OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP
For Undergraduate Students
The Consulate-General of Japan announced today that the Japanese government is now offering five-year scholarships to qualified applicants for study at Japanese Universities as an Undergraduate Student under the Japanese Government, Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Scholarship Program for 2013.
To apply, applicants must:
- Hold U.S. citizenship (Not for Japanese citizens)
- Born between April 2, 1991 an April 1, 1996
- Have either completed a 12-year regular course of school education or graduated from a school equivalent to senior high school in Japan
- Learn the Japanese Language and receive university education in the Japanese Language
- Be able to leave for and arrive in Japan between the 1st and 7th of April 2013. In case where the student starts from the fall semester through direct placement
All applications submitted by the deadline stated below will be screened.Those candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited to take an exam at the Consulate-General of Japan in Hagåtña.Proficiency in the Japanese Language to apply is not required.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Hagåtňa must receive completed applications at the above address no later than Monday June18, 2012 in order to be considered.
