JAPANESE GOVERNMENT OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP
For Specialized Training College Students
The Consulate-General of Japan announced today that the Japanese government is now offering three-year scholarships for qualified applicants to study at Japanese Specialized Training Colleges under the Japanese Government, Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Scholarship Program 2013.
To apply, applicants must:
- Hold U.S. citizenship (Not for Japanese citizens)
- Born between April 2, 1991 and April 1, 1996
- Have either completed a 12-year regular course of school education or graduated from a school equivalent to senior high school in Japan
- Learn the Japanese Language and receive education at a specialized training college in the Japanese Language
- Be able to leave for and arrive in Japan between the 1st and 7th of April 2013
All applications submitted by the deadline stated below will be screened.Those candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited to take an exam at the Consulate-General of Japan in Hagåtña.Proficiency in the Japanese Language is not required.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Hagåtňa must receive completed applications at the above address no later than Monday June18, 2012 in order to be considered.
